How to Start your Child’s Career for Modeling or Acting

Is your child seriously interested in acting or modeling? Is he or she excellent in front of a camera? If this is the case you need to know what to do so your child can become famous.
There are certain steps to take in order your boy or girl are going to make it in the show biz as a model, actor or actress.1. Take good photos of your child or the best is to get a professional portfolio with specific head shots and portraits of your kid.
The photos should include head shots and full body shots but please don’t use makeup – no lip stick, or eye shadow. Why? You child’s beauty would be covered by the make up, and that’s what you want to show: the natural beauty and personality.2. Create a modeling resume. Of course everyone is starting and your child may not have modeling experience. If this is the case just list his or her skills and abilities.

At this point, if you have not hire a professional photographer to take the portfolio photos, you might want to hire one. It is a wise investment, indeed.4. Visit casting call websites to find modeling roles for your child. Some of these sites are free, some ask for money. See some of the links below. A casting director will contact you if he thinks that your child is good for a modeling position; this can be for a commercial, movie or advertising (see links at the end of this post)5. If your child gets booked you would add each role to he experience section of the portfolio.
